I have recently been reminded that if we(Christians - followers of God)are not careful it is so easy to allow Satan to have more control over our life then God. Since the beginning of the school year(Sept.08) I have been dealing with a relationship problem. After taking this quiz on Facebook about "What "Steel Magnolias" (if you haven't seen the movie it is a must see)character are you?, I realized what I needed to change to deal with the problem. The results of the quiz were so true especially this part - "You often make it your duty to be there for others, and find yourself "helping" them arrange their lives, as well. Some people may find you bossy or "mothering", but you know in your heart, you're just trying to help". I realized that the relationship problem stemmed from this part of my personality. At the same time I had allowed Satan to continually beat me over the head with guilt stemming from this relationship. I had to realize that not everyone wants my help even when offered with the best of intentions. Also, some people have their minds already made up and they are not changing it for no one. Thank you Lord for lessons learned from trials in life.
p.s. "Steel Magnolias" is a girl movie = )

Good Stuff! You certainly have a tendency to be "mothering" but that's a good trait to have for a teacher -- just don't try it on me. :-D
Have I ever tried "mothering" you?

Wow Maggie, that's some pretty great insight and reflection. I've never seen Steel Magnolias, but that's something that I needed to hear. Thanks for sharing!
