The year 2008 was a year of several “firsts” for Bill and I. Our first cruise and my first new car, balanced out by my first surgery and our first fire evacuations from Yorba Linda and many more challenges.

As we reflect on 2008 though, we don’t really see a positive vs. negative situations, but rather a series of opportunities to grow closer to Christ. Each experience was a chance to either be grateful for His blessing or in awe of his faithfulness and protection.

Bill and I have grown this year, both as individuals and as a couple. We have learned to depend more on Christ through each new and exciting challenge. I hope 2008 was a year of growth for each you as well and I ask for God’s blessing on each of you as we move into 2009.
