Bill and I started out the weekend celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary and ended the weekend thanking God that our house was spared from the fires. I am sure most of you heard about the fires that started out in Corona and swept through Yorba Linda, Chino Hills, and Carbon Canyon. Bill and I actually left for a nice get away in San Clemente. We knew about the fires but figured everything would be ok. The fires were far enough away. When we arrived at the Bed and Breakfast we turned on the TV and realized that things were getting worse. We were worried about our dog Molly and the house. So, we turned right around and came back home. We were gone for no more than two hours and were amazed at how fast things in two hours. We were home not more than 1 hour before the police were coming through the neighborhood knocking on doors telling people that it was a mandatory evacuation. Molly and I left while Bill stayed behind to pack up a few more pictures. Molly and I headed to our friends Vicki and Josh. Bill came later but then became nervous about looters so he came back home and spent the night. He did see people driving around the neighborhood. He and the neighbor Bob sat outside watching the fire until about 3:00 am. What a anniversary!

It will be interesting to compare a current photo of the Chino Hill Park with the one you posted back in September. We're all glad you guys are safe!
Thanks! God is so good!
